Shambolic company and defective vehicles and equipment

Hiring from Campers Scotland was a big mistake. The van we were provided failed to start the first 2 mornings. We eventually had to have the van swapped for one that would start. The awning provided had no door to secure when we left the campsite. Eventually a door was provided with a different zip configuration. The van was extremely uncomfortable. Be aware the seats do not fold flat – so you’ll have a good night’s sleep – if you like sleeping on log shaped lumps. And my daughter was freezing in the bunk. Most annoyingly the customer service is abominable. When I expressed dissatisfaction with a defective vehicle I was told “vehicles break down” – that’s why we have AA membership. My letter of complaint was ignored. I don’t believe I have ever witnessed so many incompetencies from one company!
